Delete your Podsnap account
Podsnap (formerly Skipper) — the podcast player that skips ads, by Max Schwaber (com.maxschwaber.podskip).
A Podsnap account exists only if you signed in with Google inside the app. It stores your Google account ID, email address, display name, and, if you are signed in, your synced library, used to meter free transcriptions, to check Podsnap Plus subscription status, and to carry your library from one device to the next. If you never signed in, there is no account to delete.
Delete from the app (immediate)
Settings → tap your account → Delete account. This removes the account record, its transcription metering, its device links, and its synced library from the server immediately, and signs the device out.
Delete by email (within 7 days)
If you no longer have the app installed, email [email protected] from the Google address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my Skipper account". The account is deleted within 7 days and you get a confirmation reply.
The subscription is separate
If you have a Podsnap Plus subscription, deleting your account does not cancel it — the subscription is sold, billed, and managed entirely through Google Play. Cancel it yourself from Google Play → Subscriptions, or the Play Store app → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, before or after deleting your account.
What is deleted, and what remains
- Deleted: your Google account ID, email, display name, transcription metering, the links between your account and its devices, your subscription record on our side (the subscription itself is managed by Google Play — see above), and your synced library: subscriptions, folders, playlists, stars, playback positions, and listening stats.
- Remains: shared transcripts and ad segments. They are community data keyed to episodes, contain nothing about you, and are not associated with your account. Crash reports carry a random install ID, not your account, and age out. A Google Play subscription, if any — see above.
